Barrhead and District Social Housing Association provides safe, affordable, quality housing for the well-being and independence of residents and tenants.
We are currently recruiting for casual employees for kitchen shifts. Additional shift premiums are paid for Evenings, Nights, and Weekends.
Duties include:
Assisting with meals for residents
Assisting the cook in preparing foods from scratch
Serving 3 meals and 3 snacks daily in a professional manner
Cleaning, sanitizing and organization of kitchen, residents rooms and common areas
Screening employees, visitors and contractors
Assisting residents as needed
Various other tasks as required
Qualifications:
Must enjoy working with seniors
Must be available for evening, and night shifts including weekdays and weekends
Must be available to work with short notice
Good verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience handling food considered an asset
First Aid
Food Safe training may be considered an asset
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
MUST Have Clean Vulnerable Sector Check
Barrhead and District Social Housing Association operates licensed supportive living facilities. All mandates implemented by Alberta Health are applicable and employees must adhere to them. During outbreaks employees are required to wear masks and eye protection .
