Permanent Part Time Cook

Barrhead and District Social Housing Association provides safe, affordable, quality housing for the well-being and independence of residents and tenants.
We are currently hiring for a permanent part time Cook 0.5 FTE
Every Tuesday & Wednesday - 6:30AM - 5:30 PM (1hour lunch break)

Qualifications:
• Degree and / or proven ability in the food service area. Alberta Recognized Food Safe Course
• Follow and prepare meals according to menu, any changes must be approved by Manager.
• Prepare foods from scratch in a home cooked manner to avoid expensive, precooked, fast foods containing additives.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to organize and supervise staff.
• Must be able to work 10-hour shifts.
• Must enjoy working with seniors.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• First Aid
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• MUST Have Clean Vulnerable Sector Check
• Barrhead and District Social Housing Association operates licensed supportive living facilities. All mandates implemented by Alberta Health are applicable and employees must adhere to them. During outbreaks employees are required to wear masks and eye protection.
